Budget dining can seem relegated to the world of fast food or greasy choices, but these eateries show that even affordable meals can please your taste buds, brought to you by Eater Boston.

P & K Delicatessen (Somerville)

Classic options abound at this third-generation family-run business. Sandwiches, including meatball subs, chicken salad sandwiches, and the classic club, are all made-to-order and cost around $10.

Charlie's Kitchen (Cambridge)

Famous for their open-faced double cheeseburger priced at $10, Charlie's Kitchen also has a selection of slightly more luxurious options, including an "ultimate" grilled lobster melt, beer-battered fish and chips, and oysters that will run you $1.50 for two.

Cactus Grill (East Boston)

Advertised as "typical Mexican and Salvadorian food," Cactus Grill is anything but typical in terms of value. Help yourself to a few tacos, since all filling options, including chicken, steak, lengua, and chicharron are priced at $2.

Gene's Chinese Flatbread Cafe (Boston)

This Chinese eatery has a few locations, but all offer hand-pulled noodles at exceptional value. The classic hand-pulled noodle dish costs $8.95, but the flatbread sandwiches cost less than $7 if you want to save even more.

Anna's Taqueria (Boston)

Offering multiple locations and all the classic taqueria options, Anna's Taqueria lets diners get a filling burrito, with al pastor, carnitas, chicken ranchero, or other fillings for less than $9.

Sullivan's (Boston)

Sullivan's may have a large selection of fairly-priced seafood options, including clam strips, lobster rolls, and fried sea scallops, but those who are looking to visit the "iconic" restaurant can opt for a burger priced at less than $5, or a hot dog that costs less than $2.
